Idaho County Republican Central Committee

May 27, 2014


The Idaho County Republican Central Committee Meeting was called to order by Chairwoman Marge Arnzen at 6:10 p.m. in the Super 8 Motel Meeting Room in Grangeville, Idaho on May 27, with 21 out of the 24 Central Committee members present. John Menough led the opening with prayer and the Pledge was led by Marge.


The minutes of the April meeting were read and corrected.

All bills have been paid and there is $5,860.50 in the treasury.


Reorganization of ICRCC Officers was the Main order of business. Nominated were Marge Arnzen, Chairman; Clay Baker, Vice Chairman; Patricia Menough, Secretary; and Dianna Hall, Treasurer. State Committee Man, John Menough; State Committee Woman, Joann Mider; and State Youth Chairman, Patrick Adler. The ICRCC cast a unanimous ballot for this slate of officers.



Republican Party State Convention in Moscow, Idaho June 12-14,2014


The State Republican Party Convention will be June 12-14 in Moscow, Idaho. Eight Delegates and eight Alternates will represent Idaho County. Chosen delegates were Marge Arnzen, Eric Hook, John Menough, Joann Mider, Becky Crea, Clay Baker, Sheryl Nuxoll and Jim Chemelik. Alternates chosen were Dawn Shepherd, Mary Adler, Sally Baker, Patricia Menough, Nick Arnzen, Paul Anderberg, Skip Brandt and Jenna Cereghino. A motion was made to cast a unamous ballot for the Delegates and Alternates to the Republican Convention, the motion carried.


Those attending the GOP convention are urged to get their registration in. The deadline is June 6, it can be done online. Costs are listed there as well as lodging options. Go to the GOP state web page www.idgop.org Featured speaker is Rand Paul on Fri. June 13 at the Kibbe Dome.


Saturday May 31, is the Republican District and Regional Meeting/ 12 noon, at Jack in the Box Restaurant, Lewiston, elections of Region and District Officers will be held.


Berry Peterson, Chairman of the Idaho Republican Party wants us to re-introduce the Resolution for “Repeal of Idaho Health Exchange Law.” A motion was made and seconded the Central Committee support the repeal of Idaho Health Exchange Law.


Notes of information: Dr. Ben Carson’s web page is very well done. Also Oklahoma has voted to dump Common Core; their Governor will sign this legislation.


Also distributed was a Constitutional Amendment titled “Marriage is between one man and one woman”. There is also a resolution to “Impeach Judges” who do not uphold the Idaho Constitution. This is to stop legislation from and Bench. The Central Committee voted to give Paul Shepherd and Sheryl Nuxoll our support in drafting these two resolutions separately. Mary Adler will draft the Resolution, “Marriage is between one man and one woman.”

Judy LeGates announced that Patriot Academy Scholarships were awarded to Gabby Sell from CV and to Piper, Judy’s granddaughter. It will be held June 10-13 in Boise; it is classes in government appreciation. Sheryl Nuxoll will help with Academy this summer.


Marge distributed Idaho Republican Party Precinct Leader training Manuals, to the new committee members.


Three thank you’s were read from John Eynon, Wayne Hoffman of Freedom Foundation, and Chris Troupis.


There was no report from the County Commissioners.


The May meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. The next meeting will be the 17th of June.
