Ayn Rand's Anthem

Written by

From Wikipedia

Anthem is a dystopian fiction novella by Ayn Rand, written in 1937 and first published in 1938 in England. It takes place at some unspecified future date when mankind has entered another dark age characterized by irrationality, collectivism, and socialistic thinking and economics. Technological advancement is now carefully planned (when it is allowed to occur at all) and the concept of individuality has been eliminated (for example, the use of the word "I" or "Ego" is punishable by death).

Re: Job Report from Ministry of Truth

Facebook -- Pretty cool that economy is zipping along so good that unemployment dropped from 8.1% to 7.8%!

That is the biggest drop in 29 years! The feds claim we added 114,000 jobs in September, which is below the average monthly jobs added this year (average of 146,000/month in 2012 and 153,000/month in 2011), yet somehow we are magically at our lowest unemployment in 3 1/2 years. (see official Dept of Labor release

Some folks went back to school but unless our student population doubled from last year, a whole bunch of people just stopped looking for work. Come on Obama, do you think Americans are that stupid? The AP claims we have added a mere 325,000 jobs since Jan 2009, in the same time we have added 1,311,558 new people who receive disability, and 14,698,117 more people have recieved SNAP (foodstamps). Now I have nothing against people on foodstamps (we had them while I was growing up for a while) but they are pretty much the only ones with a valid reason to vote for Obama!

The American's Creed

Written by

The American's Creed

by William Tyler Page

I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed, a democracy in a republic, a sovereign Nation of many sovereign States; a perfect union, one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.

I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it, to support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect its flag, and to defend it against all enemies.

–Written 1917, accepted by the United States House of Representatives on April 3, 1918.

Labrador Votes to Audit Federal Reserve

Labrador Votes to Audit Federal Reserve

Labrador said. “Our economy and the Americans who drive it have a right to know what is going on behind the curtain when the Federal Reserve is in action. I’m proud to support this legislation and I’m confident that auditing the Federal Reserve will yield the transparency and accountability our nation deserves.”

More Americans Out of Work Now Than When Obama Took Office

The August unemployment report showed a meager increase of 96,000 jobs since July, a number that hardly puts a nick in the overall unemployment rate that has remained above eight percent for 43 months in a row.
